Danny Nashman M.B.A.

Danny Nashman is the founder of The Potential Group and brings over 20 years of experience as a consultant, coach and facilitator of strategy and organizational change and development. His work focuses on providing frameworks, tools and guidance that help leaders develop compelling strategy and orchestrate transformative change in ways that generate maximum engagement and momentum. He is a masterful designer and facilitator of initiatives and interactions that result in increased alignment, direction and focus. Over the course of his consulting career he has worked with corporations, professional services firms, associations, hospitals, NGOs and international development organizations including the United Nations. In recent years he has placed significant focus on supporting healthcare organizations with strategic planning, care model re-design, enhancing safety, improving customer service, fostering inter-professional collaboration, elevating professional practice, and promoting innovation and transformation across the health system. This work continues to inform and enhance his work in business and social enterprise in Ontario and around the world.

Danny has a long history of bringing leaders and groups together in generative and transformative ways. Over the course of his career he has also run summer programs for children and youth, founded and co-chaired large fundraising events including the Friends for Life Bike Rally for the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation and the Tri-Adventure supporting the Nikibasika Children’s Home in Kasese Uganda. His work has helped these organizations raise over $10,000,000 over the last 15 years. He continues to bring a passion for bringing out the best in individuals, teams and communities to his professional and volunteer work.

Catherine (Cate) Creede, PhD

A Partner in The Potential Group, Cate designs and leads conversations to mobilize groups to powerfully advance community visions and goals.  She is a consultant, teacher and researcher, with a mission to create sustainable, generative, socially accountable change.  Cate is deeply experienced at design, facilitation, capacity building and constructing effective conversations and processes that support systemic change and social innovation, primarily in healthcare and community agencies.

For the past seven years, Cate has also been the volunteer Co-Director of a children’s development project in Kasese, Uganda called Nikibasika Learning and Development Program, which supports a group of 52 orphaned and vulnerable children and youth to become community oriented, globally aware, self-sustaining citizens. She co-leads all fundraising, strategic direction and hands-on management of the program. She is also a founding member of the Board of the CMM Institute for Personal and Social Evolution, and co-editor of the recent book Reflective, Facilitative and Interpretive Practice of Coordinated Management of Meaning: Making Lives and Making Meaning.

In her role as a teacher, Cate is Core Faculty and a founding co-director of the Collaborative Change Leadership program at the Centre for Interprofessional Care, and the Associate Director of the New and Emerging Academic Leaders program at the Centre for Faculty Development, both at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada.

Joanna Mackie

An Associate at The Potential Group, Joanna Mackie is a Leadership Coach, Organizational Change Consultant and Designer/Facilitator of Learning and Collaborative Change with more than 20 years of global experience.

Joanna focuses her work on helping leaders create meaningful strategic change in multiple settings, from small teams to global environments. Joanna employs her deep skill as a leadership coach in all contexts, working with individuals and teams to integrate deep listening to the self and others, and designing conversations that build on core strengths to create desired futures. Joanna’s international experiences have fuelled a lifelong passion for, and deep competence around, helping leaders develop self-awareness and cross-cultural approaches that serve both local and global endeavours.

A British-born Canadian who is proficient in French, Joanna has had clients from more than 30 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, Central and North America. She brings her expertise to leaders in community development, global consulting, professional services, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, the arts and other non-profit organizations. When relevant to the future desired by the client, she has also designed and delivered numerous learning programs to help clients to work globally, build multinational teams, coach and consult, facilitate learning and lead organizational change.

Joanna has completed a Master’s in Workplace Learning and Change at the University of Toronto, and diplomas in Ontological Coaching through the Newfield Network and Emotional Intelligence through the Institute for Health and Human Potential.

Joanna is also passionate about her work in rescuing dogs and in her musical life as a singer and pianist. She lives with her family in Dufferin County, Ontario.

Leslie Zborovski

Leslie is the Director of Operations at The Potential Group. Working closely with the Partners, Leslie provides robust Project Management support for many of our projects.

With strong planning and coordination skills, attention to detail and rigorous follow-up and tracking of milestones, deliverables and budget, Leslie is a great asset to our team.

Leslie is also a fundraising and communications expert with more than 15 years of experience in the not-for-profit industry. From event planning and sponsorship acquisition to volunteer leadership development and communications strategizing, Leslie has had a hand in raising over $10,000,000 in the past decade and a half.
